    Position Overview: The Fulfillment Manager plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence by overseeing inventory shrinkage, product availability, and fostering cross-functional collaboration between procurement and warehousing teams.

They ensure compliance with institutional restrictions, sourcing items from their catalog or online. Their diverse product line includes clear electronics, footwear, apparel and leisure items at competitive prices. Additionally, their urban department store features a wide array of products, including furniture, cookware, school uniforms, nursing scrubs and footwear providing unbeatable value to the Milwaukee community.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1\. Warehouse & Space Management:

    • Oversee receiving, shipping, warehousing, distribution, and facility maintenance operations.
    • Design and maintain efficient layouts to ensure safe and streamlined movement.
    • Uphold health, safety, and security standards.

    2\. Inventory Oversight:

    • Manage inventory across the warehouse, food program, and store to ensure optimal availability and cost control.
    • Coordinate efficient inventory movement across sectors.
    • Utilize inventory management software for tracking and optimization.
    • Conduct audits and provide recommendations for ordering and restocking.

    3\. Team Leadership & Collaboration:

    • Manage hiring, scheduling, and employee retention strategies.
    • Align team goals with executive management and provide regular status updates.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and training sessions to foster a collaborative work environment.
    • Work closely with upper management and other departments to achieve company objectives.

    4\. Building & Security Maintenance:

    • Oversee facility upkeep, including waste management, landscaping, and security protocols.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and security measures.

    5\. Food Program Responsibilities:

    • Manage the inventory and distribution processes of the Food Program.
    • Develop strategies to eliminate food program obsolescence.
    • Collaborate with teams to ensure timely fulfillment.

    6\. Warehouse Management Systems (WMS):

    • Troubleshoot WMS operational issues and streamline processes.
    • Stay informed about system updates, integrations, and improvements, and work with management to implement changes.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in recruiting, training, and developing staff.
    • Expertise in decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of inventory control, logistics, and Warehouse Management Systems.
