Job Description
** Location and Hours:** Torrance full-time (must be in person)
** Responsibilities:**
- Maintaining an accurate general ledger, posting adjustments as needed
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Understanding of accrual accounting, debits and credits
- Create Journal Entries
- Processing invoices for payment (both hard copy and EDI).
- Reviewing and reconciling AP and AR accounts.
- Generating reports and executing check runs.
- Assisting with month-end close procedures.
- Verifying invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment.
- Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.
** Preferred Skills and Experience:**
- Prior supply chain/logistics accounting experience is a plus
- Prior experience with MAS/SAGE Accounting ERP and QB is a plus
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to new situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
** Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or working towards degree (must have work experience as described below)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, proficient in xlookup/vlookup
- A minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, is required
