Responsibilities: • Handle payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for multiple small businesses. • File monthly and quarterly taxes for city, state, and federal levels, including payroll, property, and rental taxes. • Perform light HR duties such as managing hire dates, paperwork, and PTO tracking. • Manage invoices, reconcile bill payments and bank statements, and monitor monthly reports for irregularities. • Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, including W-2s, 1099s, and unemployment audits. • Process intercompany reconciliations and transfers. • Maintain financials for each entity and generate balance sheets and P&L statements monthly. • Track and reconcile over 40 bank accounts, credit cards, and PayPal accounts. • Conduct collections and maintain tenant lease records. • Support audit processes for workers' compensation and insurance compliance. • Prepare depreciation entries and handle escrow reconciliation. • Communicate with CPAs to ensure tax return compliance. Qualifications: • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience for small businesses. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is a must. • Ability to analyze patterns and communicate problems promptly. • Experience in real estate and/or hospitality is preferred. • Must have excellent credit. • Must be willing to work in-office. • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly. • Comfortable navigating between multiple companies and subsidiaries. Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 DOE plus benefits
