    Position Summary:

    Under the direction and supervision of the Full Plate Project (FPP) Manager, organize and coordinate FPP packing sessions and mobile markets to include receiving, inventory and transporting of food supplies. Collaborate with volunteers and community partners to maximize the impact of food distribution to reduce nutrition insecurity on the Southcoast. Part-time role is for 15-22 hours/week.

    Essential Functions:

    ⦁ Help manage the packing, storage, and distribution of fresh, frozen, and dry goods at packing sessions and mobile markets. Direct and assist volunteers. Fulfill community partner needs when picking up at the Dartmouth Y. ⦁ Receive, organize, and inventory food items from the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB), Tourtellot, United Way, or other sources. Transport food supplies with pallet jack. ⦁ Load and unload the FPP truck to transport food to mobile markets. ⦁ Drive the FPP truck to mobile markets and community events when needed. ⦁ Assist with FPP facility, truck, and equipment maintenance. ⦁ Maintain the lower pavilion facility and equipment in a sanitary manner including bins, pallet jacks, cooler, and freezer. ⦁ Communicate any problems with the truck or other equipment to the FPP Manager or Facilities Director in a timely manner. ⦁ Complete appropriate paperwork, including but not limited to, collecting the mobile market records and delivery statistics for reporting monthly to the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB). Collect and complete paperwork to track food donations and distribution, volunteer hours. Experience working with volunteers preferred. Demonstrated commitment to mission-oriented work or community service desirable.

    ⦁ Pallet jack operation ⦁ Operate 26’ box truck with air brakes ⦁ Related food service or warehouse experience preferred

    Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Certifications ⦁ Serv Safe training required

    Equipment & Applications ⦁ Valid driver’s license
