The Red Gate Group is seeking a skilled Full Stack Web Developer - Backend Specialization to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Reston, VA. As a Full-Stack Developer, you’ll be more than just a coder. You’ll be a mentor, guiding junior team members while sharing best practices and driving continuous improvement. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with software development
• Experience with back-end development
• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript
• Experience with Node.js JavaScript runtime environment and the Express framework
• Experience with SQL syntax and queries
• Experience with API development including REST architectures
• Knowledge of Agile methodology
• DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP certification
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Active TS/SCI Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with developing backend software applications/services
• 2+ years of experience with developing in a microservices architecture
• Experience with React, Next.js
• Experience with testing frameworks and code quality tools, such as Jest and SonarQube
• Experience with user authentication workflows, including OAuth 2.0 framework and OpenID Connect
• Experience with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) packages, such as Sequelize
• Knowledge of JIRA, Git, GitLab
• Ability to understand user requirements
• Ability to investigate root causes and provide corrective actions
