    JOB SUMMARY:

    AT FULL STEAM STAFFING OUR EMPLOYEES OUR EMPLOYEES ARE OUR GREATEST ASSET. WE ARE ACTIVELY SEEKING A BILINGUAL/SPANISH REGIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST WITH OUTSTANDING WRITTEN, VERBAL AND INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS. THE REGIONAL HR GENERALIST WILL PLAY A KEY ROLE IN ENSURING THAT WE CONTINUE TO ENCOURAGE, SUPPORT AND RETAIN OUR EMPLOYEES. THE REGIONAL HR GENERALIST WILL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FULL SCOPE OF HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING: TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT, ENSURING EMPLOYEES ADHERE TO COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, PERFORMING INCIDENT INVESTIGATION AND REPORTING, MANAGING VARIOUS HR PROJECTS, COMMUNICATING EMPLOYMENT LAWS AND REGULATIONS, AND OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • WORK CLOSELY WITH THE OPERATIONS TEAM PROVIDING COUNSEL AND GUIDANCE REGARDING POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND STATE AND FEDERAL REGULATORY COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS; KEEP MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS INFORMED OF INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL HR DEVELOPMENTS THAT MAY IMPACT OVERALL EFFECTIVENESS

    • FACILITATE NEW HIRE ORIENTATION AND ENSURE A POSITIVE ONBOARDING EXPERIENCE

    • GUIDE MANAGERS AND SUPERVISORS IN APPROPRIATE AND FAIR HUMAN RESOURCES PRACTICES; ASSIST SUPERVISORS WITH PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT INCLUDING DELIVERING DISCIPLINARY ACTION FOR HOURLY EMPLOYEES

    • MAINTAIN ASSOCIATE PERSONNEL FILES, ENSURE DOCUMENTS AND MANUALS ARE KEPT CURRENT, ACCURATE, CONFIDENTIAL AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH COMPANY POLICIES AND GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS

    • PARTNER WITH LEAVE ADMINISTRATOR AND MANAGEMENT TEAM TO EFFECTIVELY ADMINISTER AND TRACK LEAVE PROGRAMS INCLUDING SHORT-TERM DISABILITY, FMLA, AND OTHER PERSONAL LEAVES

    • ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM EMPLOYEES AND MANAGERS ABOUT COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, BENEFITS, AND OTHER HR-RELATED TOPICS. MANAGE LEAVES OF ABSENCE PROCESS, ENSURING TIMELY AND COMPLIANT RETURN TO WORK

    • PROVIDE ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT WITH COMPLIANCE REPORTING.

    • MAINTAIN FULL AND COMPLETE EMPLOYEE DOCUMENTATION SYSTEMS. THIS INCLUDES THE DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF DOCUMENTATION SYSTEMS TO ENSURE RECORD KEEPING AND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS ARE COMPLETE, ACCURATE, AND EASILY ACCESSIBLE TO THE APPROPRIATE COMPANY PERSONNEL. DOCUMENTS AND KEEPS ACCURATE FILING FOR ALL COMPLAINTS, GRIEVANCES, AND OTHER IMPORTANT COMMUNICATIONS TO AND BY EMPLOYEES.

    • RESPOND TO INQUIRIES REGARDING POLICIES, PROCEDURES, AND PROGRAMS. EVALUATE HUMAN RELATIONS AND WORK-RELATED ISSUES. MEET WITH SUPERVISORS AND MANAGERS TO DETERMINE EFFECTIVE REMEDIATION TECHNIQUES SUCH AS JOB SKILL TRAINING OR PERSONAL INTERVENTION IN AN EFFORT TO PREVENT OR RESOLVE HUMAN RELATIONS ISSUES AMONG PERSONNEL.

    • PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO THE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER.

    • ASSIST WITH ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

    HR GENERALIST REQUIREMENTS:

    • CALIFORNIA-BASED WORKFORCE.

    • EXPOSURE TO CALIFORNIA LABOR LAW AND EMPLOYMENT EQUITY REGULATIONS.

    • EFFECTIVE HR ADMINISTRATION AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT SKILLS.

    • EXPOSURE TO CALIFORNIA PAYROLL PRACTICES.

    • FULL UNDERSTANDING OF HR FUNCTIONS AND BEST PRACTICES.

    • EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS.

    • WORKS WELL UNDER PRESSURE AND MEETS TIGHT DEADLINES.

    • PROFICIENT WITH GMAIL, EXCEL/ GOOGLE SHEETS, WORD/GOOGLE DOCS, MS OFFICE AND RELATED BUSINESS AND COMMUNICATION TOOLS.

    • STRONG ORGANIZATIONAL AND TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS.

    • STRONG DECISION-MAKING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS.

    • METICULOUS ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

    • ABLE TO TRAVEL WITHIN THE REGION APPROXIMATELY (UP TO 75% OF WORK SCHEDULE)

    • COMMUNICATE WITH/ MEET WITH CLIENTS TO PERFORM INVESTIGATIONS, PROVIDE UP TO DATE GUIDANCE ON EMERGING LEGISLATION, TRENDS IN THE WORKPLACE, AND CLARIFICATION ON FULL STEAM’S POLICIES AND PRACTICES.
