We are a busy, patient-centered dental practice in North Jersey, seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to join our team. If you have a passion for helping patients understand their treatment plans and are experienced in handling dental insurance and billing matters, we want to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:

Research and navigate insurance policies, benefits, and exclusions to provide accurate information to patients.

Review and interpret dental EOBs (Explanation of Benefits), including patient deductibles, co-pays, and insurance/third-party correspondence.

Communicate pre-authorization requirements to patients in-office or via phone.

Assist patients in understanding their treatment plan details, billing, and payment options.

Resolve billing discrepancies and claim denials through follow-up with insurance companies.

Ensure accuracy in calculating copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket fees.

Familiarity with Care Credit and other financial programs.

Maintain clear communication with patients about treatment plans, billing, and insurance details.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1-2 years of dental billing experience required.

Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.

Extensive knowledge of PPO, Union, Med-Type, HMO, and DMO insurance plans.

Proficient in verifying insurance benefits and coverage.

Experience in calculating copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses.

Ability to read and interpret EOBs and patient ledgers.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to research and resolve claims denials and billing issues efficiently.
