Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Cotswold in finding a Family Assistant for their family of four, including a 3 and 5-year-old. The Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday-Friday 6:00 am - 2:00/3:00 pm.

The best Family Assistant would be punctual, proactive, trustworthy, kind, and able to anticipate the needs of the family. Each morning, the Family Assistant would come in and help prepare breakfast for the children and make sure their school lunches are packed for the day. Most days, Mom or Dad will take the 5-year-old to school at 7:15 am, and they will pick him up from school. The Family Assistant will take the 3-year-old to school at 9:30 am and pick her up at 12:50 pm. When the children are in school, the Family Assistant will be responsible for the house management duties listed below. When caring for the 3-year-old, the Family Assistant should keep her active and engaged and foster a fun and educational environment. Their daughter enjoys coloring, playing games, playing in their playroom, and spending time outside. The Dad works a rotating schedule, which he knows several months in advance, and will be home several days in a row; the Family Assistant should be comfortable with this.

Family Assistant Duties:

• Family’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep, including breakfast and school lunches

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

• Picking up after the children throughout the day

• Keeping common areas tidy

• Clean up the kitchen after meals, including vacuuming around the table

• Grocery shopping and stocking the refrigerator

• Running Errands

• Package Management

• Organizing pantry, refrigerator, and children’s closets

• Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children

• Taking the 3-year-old to school each day and picking her up

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Pets: The family has a Cavapoo puppy, and the Family Assistant will be asked to take him out every two hours.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional Family Assistant experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Family Assistant should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on childhood vaccinations. The annual flu vaccine is preferred.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts February 17th

• Legal pay is offered at $28 - $30 an hour, depending on experience
