Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Eastover in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their 10-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son. The Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday - Thursday 12:30 pm - 7:30 pm and Friday 11:30 am - 6:30 pm. (35hrs) It would be a plus if the nanny was flexible about schedule changes and overnight stays on occasion when the parents are traveling.

The best Family Assistant would be flexible, loving, honest, reliable, active, and a safe driver. The ideal candidate will help manage the needs of their two children and care for the household while the children are in school. Responsibilities include meeting their daughter at the bus stop, transportation to after-school activities, preparing the children for the next day of school, and household duties listed below. When caring for the children the Family Assistant should be kind but firm, setting clear boundaries while encouraging good manners. During downtime, the Family Assistant should engage the children in activities that support their individual interests. The candidate must be adaptable to the shifting needs of the children and help facilitate their schedules; while offering support to the household. Occasionally Mom and Dad work from home in designated offices, the nanny should be comfortable with this and respect work-from-home parent boundaries

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Providing transportation to various activities

• Assisting with homework

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Family’s laundry and changing sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep including healthy school lunches and dinner

• Keeping kitchen area clean and tidy

• Cleaning and organizing the refrigerator and pantry

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Keeping the children’s areas organized, including closets, etc.

• Grocery pick-up

• Running general errand

• Car maintenance

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Must be able to swim (Family has a pool)

• Nanny should be fluent in English, any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations including the Covid-19 vaccine and booster and the annual Flu Vaccine is preferred but not required

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts October 21st

• Legal pay is offered at $23.00-$28.00 an hour, depending on experience
