Full Time Family Assistant in Wendover-Sedgewood for a family of 5
Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Wendover-Sedgewood neighborhood of South Charlotte in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant. The schedule would be Monday - Friday, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, with occasional weeks extending up to 45 hours a week, with the nanny staying until 8:00 pm some nights. The family includes two parents and three boys, ages 9 (3rd grade),15 (9th grade), and 17 (12th grade) years old. Additionally, there would also be some overnights and potentially a request here or there to travel with the family as needed.
The best Family Assistant would be flexible, kind, reliable, active, and a safe driver. The ideal candidate would come in and help a busy stay-at-home mom manage the household and care for three active boys. Responsibilities include school pick-ups, transportation to after-school activities (the oldest son can drive himself), ensuring homework and the kids' chores are completed, and taking care of the additional household duties listed below. Mom is looking for a Family Assistant to divide and conquer to keep the home running smoothly.
The ideal Family Assistant would be experienced in caring for children with diverse needs and personalities. Especially seeking a nanny who can connect with and support their 9-year-old son. He is a creative and active child who thrives when engaged in imaginative play and one-on-one activities. The Family Assistant should be comfortable adapting to his unique needs, fostering his creativity, and encouraging his interests. While he is generally independent, he requires support and guidance from someone who understands his specific needs and can work effectively within his established routines.
The family has had positive experiences with occupational therapists in the past and values a collaborative approach to childcare. Effective and open communication is key, and the best nanny would be receptive to guidance from professionals involved in their 9-year-old’s care. While two older children are mostly self-sufficient, the Family Assistant should be able to manage the household's overall needs and help maintain a harmonious and organized home environment for all family members.
