Nanny/House Manager – $28-$32 per Hour (30-40 Hours/Week)

Start Date: After Labor Day (September 2025)

A busy and professional family in Alexandria, VA, is seeking an experienced and proactive Nanny/House Manager to care for their two children (5 and 4 years old) while also assisting with household responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, reliable, and comfortable balancing childcare with house management duties.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Standard Hours:

• Monday-Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM 

• 30 - 40 hours guaranteed (pending agreed upon job responsibilities)

• Hourly Rate: $28-$32 per hour, depending on experience.

Benefits:

• 6-8 paid federal holidays (including major holidays)
• 2 weeks paid vacation (usually more due to family travel) & 2 sick days 
• Mileage/gas reimbursement

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare Duties:

• Provide engaging and structured care for the 4-year-old in the morning.
• Assist with the 5-year-old’s after-school routine.

• Support learning and development through activities.

Household Duties:

• Cooking dinners (potentially lunch when children are home)
• Light cleaning & tidying.
• Grocery shopping & errands.
• Dry cleaning pick-up/drop-off.
• Children's laundry.

• Caring for the family's lovable K9!

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced in childcare with a background in nannying or education.
• Organized & proactive, capable of managing multiple responsibilities.
• Loves working with children and is adaptable to their needs.
• Comfortable with pets (must be okay walking the family’s dog).
• Dependable and professional, with strong communication skills.
• Speaks Spanish (bonus, not a requirement)
• Provide 3-5 professional references

• Must have US work authorization

Additional Details:

• Family takes occasional trips throughout the year (in addition to a minimum 2-week vacation each August).  During these trips the family will offer paid vacation time off.
