Full Time Nanny/Household Manager in Stamford, CT $65,000 -$78,000 per year
Seeking a long-term, experienced, and energetic Nanny/Household Manager to join a family with three children (ages 7, 5, and 2) and a 60lb dog. The ideal candidate will be organized, physically active, and passionate about working with children, while also managing household tasks efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $1,250 - $1500 per week (based on experience, abilities, and agreed upon responsibilities)
- 2 weeks of paid vacation (1 week coordinated with the family’s schedule).
- 3 sick days and 2 personal days annually.
- Family car available for use during work hours, with gas and maintenance covered by the family.
- On-site parking provided.
- This is a long-term position, requiring at least a 2-year commitment.
Schedule and Hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30am -6:30pm, flexibility needed for longer hours when needed (e.g., sick days, school closures, or vacation weeks).
- Thursday: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
- During school hours (10:30 AM – 2:30 PM), there is flexibility for down time, provided the nanny is available on-call for emergencies.
- Guaranteed hours every week
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the morning routine and get the oldest child on the school bus.
- Provide full care for children during school closures, sick days, or vacation weeks.
- Plan and engage in screen-free, creative activities (e.g., crafts, baking, swimming, biking).
- Transport children to activities and appointments as needed.
- Unload the dishwasher, clean/reset the kitchen, and tidy up the children’s rooms daily.
- Fold and put away laundry.
- Walk the family’s dog and drive to daycare.
- Run errands and handle household organization tasks.
- Perform light cleaning of shared spaces, such as the kitchen, playroom, and family areas.
- Maintain the family vehicle provided for work-related use.
- Meal prepping & cooking a plus (Not a requirement)
Requirements
- Excellent communicator
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Must be active and comfortable swimming with children.
- Ideal candidate has an RBT or ABA background, or experience working with children with ADHD.
- Must be comfortable with a medium-sized dog.
- Proactive, patient, and creative, with excellent multitasking skills.
- Ability to manage household tasks independently while staying active and fully engaged with children when they are home.
- Provide 3-5 professional references.
