Full Time Nanny Needed ASAP
A Loving Family in Greenwich, CT seeks an experienced and energetic Full-Time Nanny for three wonderful children (ages 5, 3, and 5 months).
The family is seeking a dedicated and long-term nanny to join their household and provide exceptional care for our children, aged 5-years-old, 3-years-old, and 5-months-old. The ideal candidate is a highly responsible, proactive, and loving individual with a proven track record of childcare experience, particularly with infants and toddlers. They are looking for someone who can become an integral part of their family.
About the Children:
- The 5-year-old and 3-year-old attend preschool from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.
- The 3-year-old also attends a shorter preschool program from 8:00 am to 11:30 am, five days a week.
- Important: The ideal candidate must be comfortable and willing to learn how to manage pediatric diabetes with guidance and support. The family will provide full training.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (45 hours per week).
- Potential for some mornings to start at 8:00 am.
- Summer schedule: TBD, generally similar hours. Family will be away for two weeks during the summer.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $32 per hour
- Standard benefits package including:
- 3 weeks paid vacation.
- All bank holidays paid.
- 5 personal sick days.
- Annual bonus based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Providing attentive and nurturing care for all three children, including diaper changes, feeding, dressing, and engaging in age-appropriate activities.
- Managing the children's daily schedules, including school drop-off and pick-up, and transportation to activities (swim lessons, karate, etc.).
- Creating a stimulating and safe environment for the children to learn and grow.
- Light tidying of the house related to the children's areas.
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Adhering to the family’s parenting philosophies and maintaining open communication with parents.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with infants and toddlers is essential.
- Prior long-term nanny experience is highly desired (ideally 15+ years with a single family).
- Experience with managing Type 1 Diabetes is a significant plus, but a willingness to learn is essential.
- Must be energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about childcare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification are required.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Flu, and Tdap.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect family privacy.
- Must be able to provide 3 to 5 professional, relevant, and verifiable references.
- Must be at least 18 years or older to apply.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
