Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Foxcroft neighborhood of Charlotte in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their four children, ages 1 (Preschool 2 mornings a week), 3 (Preschool 5 mornings a week), 5 (Preschool 5 mornings a week), and 6 years old (1st grade). The nanny would typically be needed Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, 50 hours a week, with the flexibility to work late if needed. Occasional travel with the family may be requested.

The best nanny for this family would be caring, dependable, hard-working, and loving. Each day, the nanny would be expected to come in and get the children ready for school, take the children to school, and care for the children who are not in school in the morning hours. In the afternoon, the nanny would be needed to pick the children up from school and take them to their after-school activities and extracurriculars.

Each child is at a different age and stage, and the children have different interests. It is important that the nanny be creative in tailoring the day to accommodate each child’s interests. The children love to do arts and crafts, do puzzles, read or be read to, play inside and outside, and engage in fun activities. The family would also encourage the nanny to take the children to fun activities in the community once trust is built. In addition to hiring a full-time nanny, the family will also be hiring a part-time nanny or au pair to help manage daily tasks and childcare duties.

Their son has food allergies to nuts, sesame, and shellfish. So, the nanny should be vigilant and cautious when preparing food for him and feeding him. Also, the nanny should be familiar with his allergy protocol and be trained on using the Epi-Pen.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep - breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner - Their son has food allergies: nuts, sesame, and shellfish

• Basic meal prep for weekend meals

• Grocery shopping

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

• Picking up after the nanny and the children throughout the day

• Emptying the diaper pail

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English, and Spanish is a plus.

• Must be up to date on childhood vaccinations. The COVID-19 vaccine and booster, as well as the annual flu vaccine, are preferred.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• Legal pay is offered at $28.00 - $32.00 an hour, depending on experience.
