  • Responsibilities

    Full-time Nanny required for an UES family with one toddler (born May 2021), starting January/February, 2025. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care, age appropriate learning and activities and child related tidying/cleaning for their daughter.

    The family is looking for someone warm, active and energetic who is comfortable creating clear, fair boundaries while keeping things calm and fun. Someone who encourages creativity, is a proactive problem solver and clear communicator will be a great match for this family. To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone detail oriented and compassionate who is wanting to partner with the parents in a loving household. The ideal candidate is someone who has energy for busy days, is engaged during activities and overall a positive and happy individual.

    Location: UES, NYC

    Start date: January/February, 2025

    Days/times: Monday to Friday 30-40 hrs a week - family is open to conversations to all qualified and suitable candidates looking for these hours. Daughter is currently in PreK (finishing either 11.45am/2.15pm depending on the day), and will transition in September 2025 to all longer school days.

    Ideal start time is between 11am-1pm and finishing between 6-6.30pm daily. On Fridays, the family would love the flexibility of consistent weekly date nights. Hours will increase to 40+ during weeks when Dad is travelling for work.

    Children: One daughter (born May 2021)

    Conditions: $25 - $35 per hour* plus unlimited monthly metrocard, sick/personal days, public holidays and two weeks paid leave per year. Family open to providing healthcare stipend for the perfect candidate.

    For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

    • A minimum of 3 years experience as a nanny, 5-10 years preferred in NYC
    • A well-suited demeanor for working with toddlers and school age children
    • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
    • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
    • Readiness to help with light housekeeping and all tasks related to childcare (daily meal and snack prep, organizing, laundry, etc.)
    • Flexibility and interest in domestic and/or international travel (with advance notice) is preferred
