Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Denver, NC, in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their two-month-old daugther. The nanny would typically be needed Wednesday - Friday, 7:30 am - 6:30 pm, 33 hours per week (3 consecutive days could possibly be adjusted for the right candidate). Occasionally, the nanny may be asked to travel with the family or work longer hours if the mom is traveling (Mom travels every other week for work to East Tennessee. Ideally, the nanny would travel with the mom at least one week a month for three days. If a nanny is interested in traveling both weeks, that would be great too).

The best nanny for this family would be responsible, reliable, trustworthy, organized, and safety-conscious. It is important for the nanny to be up to date on the latest in infant care practices and be experienced in caring for infants and toddlers. The family has developed a schedule and routine for their daughter and would like their nanny to closely follow their daughter's schedule and routine throughout the day. Familiarity and prior experience with Early Childhood Development, milestones, and Montessori principles would be preferred. Throughout the day, the nanny would be expected to read to the child, do Montessori activities, incorporate sensory activities, play inside and outside, do Tummy Time and other developmental activities, go on strolls, do arts and crafts, and provide opportunities for their daughter to explore the world around her. The best nanny would be proactive and take the initiative to develop age-appropriate activities that will foster an enriching and educational environment throughout the day. Every other week, the mom works from home, and the dad works outside of the home, so the nanny must be comfortable working in a home where a parent works from home. The family is seeking a long-term nanny that will become an extension of their family and grow with them over time.

    Nanny Responsibilities Include:

    • Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

    • Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

    • Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

    • Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

    • Fostering an age-appropriate educational environment

    • Take the child on age-appropriate outings in the community as she grows older

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

    • Child’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

    • Child’s meal prep and feeding child

    • Unloading/loading the dishwasher and putting away dishes

    • Sanitizing bottles, toys, and frequently used surfaces by the children

    • Picking up after the nanny and child throughout the day

    • Stock diapers and other child-related items

    • Emptying diaper pail as needed

Pets: This family has two dogs, a Husky mix and a Beagle / Australian Shepherd. The nanny must love dogs and be comfortable around them, as they are very sociable and loving. They would need to be let in and out of the yard as needed.
