    Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Asheville, NC, in finding a full-time nanny for their 3-year-old and 3.5-month-old daughters. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 5:00/6:00 pm. (the family is guaranteeing 40 hours of pay each week)

    Travel

    Each year, the family travels several times. The nanny must be comfortable with travel, as the family attends three domestic and two international industry shows per year, including trips to Germany. The nanny will accompany them on these trips, caring for the children while the parents work.

    The best nanny for this family would be kind, patient, caring, professional, passionate about working with children, and dedicated to their growth and well-being. Additionally, the nanny would be hardworking, punctual, and an excellent communicator who respects the parents’ parenting style while maintaining an open line of communication.

    Each day, the nanny would be needed to care for both children (infants and toddlers) simultaneously and to establish and maintain a consistent routine for both children. This would include helping develop a daily napping schedule for the infant and engaging her in developmental activities such as tummy time, singing, reading, and playing with toys. Their 3-year-old is very active and enjoys outdoor play, exploring nature, arts and crafts, puzzles, and imaginative play. The nanny should also actively plan creative, age-appropriate outings in the community, including trips to local museums, the nature center, playgrounds, toddler classes, and more. It is important the nanny is patient and understanding, providing gentle guidance to help their daughter navigate her emotions in a supportive and nurturing way. The family limits screen time, so the nanny should create a stimulating and educational screen-free environment while limiting their own screen time usage. Both parents work from home in designated offices on a separate floor, and although they may pop in during the day, the children are accustomed to this routine, and they respect work-from-home boundaries. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced, active, and dedicated nanny who loves children and is eager to foster their development in a structured yet playful environment.

    Nanny Responsibilities Include:

    • Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children(Feeding, Changing, Napping)

    • Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

    • Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

    • Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

    Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

    • Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

    • Children’s meal prep

    • Unloading/loading the dishwasher and sanitizing bottles

    • Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

    • Picking up after the nanny and children throughout the day

    • Emptying diaper pail and keeping diapers and wipes stocked

    • Keeping Diaper bag stocked

    • Grocery shopping for children’s food and snacks

    Pets: The family has two dogs, both Pomskies. One is 12 lbs, and the other is 35 lbs. They are both very, very sweet.

    Qualifications:

    • Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

    • Have a college degree or equivalent experience

    • Have a professional resume

    • Fill out a complete online application

    • Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

    • Have a valid driver’s license

    • Have safe and reliable transportation

    • Have a minimum of three professional references

    • Be non-smoking/vaping

    • CPR and First Aid Certified

    • The nanny should be fluent in English, any additional languages are a plus

    • Must be up to date on vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccine and booster, the annual Flu Vaccine, and TDAP prior to starting the position.

    Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

    • This position starts ASAP

    • Legal pay is offered at $25-$28 an hour, depending on experience

    • Continued pay while the family is away

    • Two weeks of paid time off
