Full-Time Nanny in Huntersville, NC for a 1.5 Year Old Boy and a 3.5 Year Old Girl
Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Huntersville, NC, in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their 1.5-year-old son and 3.5-year-old daughter. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Friday 8:45 am - 5:15 pm, 42-43 hours a week, with the flexibility to work earlier or later if needed with advance notice.
The best nanny for this family would be caring, responsible, and patient. Throughout the day, the nanny should be creative in developing activities that will encourage their children to meet and exceed their developmental milestones. The nanny would be expected to come in and keep the children on an established routine. This typically includes making the children’s breakfast, helping their daughter get ready for school as needed, engaging with the children in the morning, preparing and feeding the kids lunch, and then getting them down to nap (currently around 1 pm). After a nap (around 3/3:30 pm), the children will have a snack and then play until it is time for the parents to get off work around 5:00. The nanny should ensure the children are safe and use positive reinforcement to encourage their individual growth.
The family is working on getting their daughter into preschool/pre-k; once enrolled, she will most likely attend pre-k a few days a week to start. Depending on their work schedule, the parents will divide and conquer drop-off and pick-up with the nanny (Mom plans to do most drop-off and pick-up). Their daughter has been diagnosed with mild Apraxia (a mild speech delay); she goes to speech therapy as needed, but typically once a week. Mom will take her most of the time to speech therapy.
It is important for the nanny to provide a fun, energetic, and playful environment each day. The children enjoy playing outside, being read to, learning early literacy skills (reading and writing), arts and crafts, music, and participating in educational activities. It would also be encouraged to take the children on fun, age-appropriate outings such as story time or the playground/park (they have two in their neighborhood). There are also many kids in the neighborhood that they play with occasionally, so playdates would be encouraged.
Both parents work from home in designated offices. They have had a nanny previously and know how to respect work-from-home boundaries and limit disruptions throughout the day.
