Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Providence Springs neighborhood of South Charlotte in finding a full-time nanny for their two sons, who are 3 and 7 years old. The nanny would typically be needed Tuesday - Friday, 7:30 am - 5:45 pm.

The best nanny for this family would be reliable, active, trustworthy, and engaging. Their 3-year-old is in preschool 5 days a week from 9 AM to 1 PM, and the nanny will be responsible for school drop-off and pick-up. While the 7-year-old primarily takes the bus home from school, the nanny should be available for occasional pickups as needed. Outdoor play, imaginative activities, and hands-on engagement should be a priority for the nanny. Both boys are active and enjoy playing outside, riding scooters, going for bike rides, trips to the playground, outings to the pool, trips to Discovery Place, and other age-appropriate activities throughout the community. Encouraging responsibility by teaching them to clean up after themselves is important. Screen time should be kept to a minimum, focusing on interactive and creative play. Dad occasionally works from home in a separate office; the nanny should be comfortable with this and respect work-from-home boundaries. The family values longevity and is looking for a nanny to join their family long-term and eventually become an extended member of the family.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

• Providing school drop off and pick up

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep after school snack

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

• Picking up after the nanny and children throughout the day

Pets: The nanny must be comfortable with pets. While the family does not currently have a pet, the family may consider getting a dog in the next 1-2 years.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience
