Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join our Construction team. In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager and company Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and ensure the company’s compliance with all legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include recording and verifying transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage, and completing tax forms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.
Responsibilities
Enter financial data and transactions in Quickbooks
Manage all AR / AP and ensure timely payment of all invoices
Prepare trial balance
Analyze budgets and other financial information and prepare monthly reports
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Maintain Job Costing
Complete required tax forms
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (preferred)
Proficient in QuickBooks minimum 3 years
Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position (minimum 3 years, construction background preferred)
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems (proficiency required)
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
