    Maintenance Technician Job Description

    Our maintenance crew is the frontline and a core department for ensuring quality control of maintenance standards across all properties and work vehicles. As a maintenance tech, you will actively engage in multiple layers of the essential functions of the business. The position is responsible for performing preventative and responsive maintenance duties in managed luxury vacation rental homes. A “Jack of all trades”, you are resourceful, hard-working, and great at applying common sense solutions to keep our properties looking sharp! Knowledge of general home maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting is necessary to succeed in this position.

    You’ll conduct minor maintenance projects at our vacation rental properties from general day-to-day property care, communicate with the Property Manager, troubleshoot challenges, assist with IT support at rental properties, and coordinate offsite maintenance of our fleet of housekeeping, maintenance, and Pinot Car vehicles.

    Our ideal candidate has handyman experience, but this position can also be trainable for those who are energetic and passionate about learning key life skills in home maintenance.

    Essential Responsibilities

    Troubleshoot and complete maintenance work orders as assigned consistently and efficiently with a sense of urgency.

    Conduct weekly preventative maintenance property checks and report back to management using issued communications software and smartphone apps.

    Onboarding, post-departure and pre-arrival inspections.

    Documentation of time worked and tasks completed for billable and non-billable time using smartphone apps.

    Conduct minor maintenance to vacation rental properties as directed by Maintenance Lead or management. This can include coordinating with service providers and vendors to complete major maintenance projects when needed.

    Repairing minor guest damage to the properties

    Monitoring and maintenance of hot tubs

    Light exterior and yard maintenance

    Trash and recycling collection

    Painting, touch-up and minor carpentry work

    Replacing specialty light bulbs

    Moving furniture during styling or deep cleaning

    Proper preparation for seasonal changes

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    Frequently required to stand and walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.

    Exposure to outside weather conditions, and icy and slippery surfaces.

    Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

    Work truck, gear and supplies provided.

    Valid Oregon driver's license required

    Hourly role; $16-$23 depending on experience; on-call opportunities; overtime upon Manager approval
