    The Funding Specialist plays a critical role in the successful execution of trust administration by overseeing the funding process of revocable and irrevocable trusts. This individual is responsible for working directly with clients, financial institutions, and internal teams to ensure all assets are properly aligned with the trust in accordance with legal and financial best practices. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in financial services or estate planning, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a high-touch client experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage all aspects of trust funding, including asset review, re-titling, and coordination with financial institutions and custodians.

    Work closely with estate planning attorneys and financial advisors to gather necessary documents and ensure proper execution of funding strategies.

    Ensure compliance with applicable trust laws and firm procedures regarding asset alignment and funding requirements.

    Communicate directly with clients to gather documentation, explain processes, and provide updates throughout the funding timeline.

    Maintain accurate records of all asset transfers, beneficiary designations, and financial instruments associated with the trust.

    Collaborate with internal departments (drafting, settlement, maintenance, fiduciary services) to support seamless trust onboarding and administration.

    Proactively identify potential roadblocks in the funding process and propose solutions to mitigate delays.

    Prepare periodic reports on funding progress and status for leadership and client reporting.

    Qualifications:

    Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field strongly preferred.

    1–3 years of experience in financial planning, trust administration, or estate planning law firm strongly preferred.

    Solid understanding of financial products, asset titling, and the trust funding process.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive client interactions.

    Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Familiarity with estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney) is a strong plus.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with financial systems and databases.
