    Position Hours: FULLTIME 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday

    Position Wage: Hourly rate dependent on experience. Starting at $20 per hour.

    Job Description:

    The IQ Furnace Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe amp; efficient operation of all Allcase cell equipment. Properly scheduling work to be done, inspecting, loading, unloading, programing amp; monitoring furnaces will be the focus for this role. Promptly reporting any concerns to the shift foreman will be crucial.

    Principle Duties amp; Responsibilities:

    • Operator will be responsible for the following set up amp; monitoring

    o Temperature controller
    o Over-temperature controller
    o Chart recorders
    o Furnace thermo-couples
    o Proper gas flows including the following

    o Natural gas

    o Endothermic gas

    o Nitrogen gas

    o Ammonia gas

    • Oil temperature monitoring – cooling / heating / levels
    • Agitation monitoring
    • Proper loading amp; racking of parts to minimize distortion
    • Understand tempering guidelines based off of actual AQ hardness readings
    • Learn start up, loading amp; shut down procedures for each piece of equipment in cell
    • Operator will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the generator including the following at a minimum

    o Startup/shut down procedure

    o Daily monitoring of retort temperature amp; dewpoint

    • Operations of cryo-genic boxes including the following

    o Loading/unloading

    o Temperature controller settings

    o Startup/shut down

    • Determine proper inspection location for AQ testing per

    o ASTM E-18 Rockwell hardness testing

    o ASTM E-10 Brinell hardness testing

    o ASTM A 956 Leeb hardness testing

    • Understand Tagging amp; Transfer Procedure
    • Safe amp; efficient operations of all production equipment
    • Prioritize processing based on schedule
    • Perform inspection using correct methods
    • Document amp; report any maintenance issues to shift foreman
    • Ensure plant organization amp; cleanliness

    Minimum Requirements:

    All hires are contingent upon a 9-panel hair follicle drug test amp; background check.

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred

    • Acquire/maintain forklift certification

    Experience: prior factory work preferred
