Job Title: Furniture Repair Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and refinishing various types of furniture, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires expertise in upholstery and finishing techniques to restore furniture to its original or improved condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and assess furniture for damage, wear, or structural issues.

Perform repairs on upholstered and metal furniture, including scratches, dents, broken parts, and loose joints.

Touch up and Refinish furniture surfaces using staining, painting, and sealing techniques.

Replace or repair upholstery, cushions, and padding as needed.

Work with tools and equipment such as sanders, drills, saws, and spray guns.

Read and interpret work orders, following detailed repair instructions.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.

Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure expectations are met.

Provide recommendations for furniture maintenance and care to extend product lifespan.

Qualifications & Skills:

Knowledge of various furniture construction materials and repair techniques.

Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.

Basic knowledge of color matching and finishing applications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.

Physical ability to lift and move heavy furniture as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with modern repair techniques and tools.

Work Environment:

Workshop or repair facility setting with occasional on-site repairs.

Use of power tools, chemicals, and adhesives may be required.

Occasional heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
