For Oak Cliff is a culturally relevant non-profit organization based in Dallas, TX serving the South Oak Cliff community. For Oak Cliff's mission is to provide culturally responsive initiatives in South Oak Cliff to liberate the community from systemic oppression, create a culture of education, and increase social mobility and social capital. We aim to accomplish our mission by curating dual-gen, community-driven programming through our four pillars: Education, Advocacy, Community Building, and Arts.
What is Dual-Gen? Our 2-generation approach to each pillar and program. We find it more effective to evoke radical change by engaging everyone in the home, students and guardians. For example, under Education, we have LENA for our budding students (ages 0-3), after-school time programs (ages 6-12), and GED classes (ages 18+). Our Community Building pillar offers summer sports camps (ages 5- 12) and health talks and community mixers for our OG's (ages 55+).
