We are hiring a GIS Clerk 3 who is knowledgeable in property records.

Description:
~This is a professional position responsible for researching current deed information for the purpose of making current ownership changes and making property splits.~Receive and review property information from the County Clerk.~Read metes and bounds descriptions and other documents relating to changes of property ownership.~Update account information in computer to post name and ownership changes and address changes.~Respond to taxpayer inquiries and answer questions about ownership, homestead, over-65 exemptions, etc.
Requirements: ~Good knowledge of types of property records, where they are stored, and common real estate terminology and property related fields is helpful.~Good knowledge of the types and uses of the various deeds used to convey property ownership.~Knowledge of the District's property appraisal data base and procedures for making map changes.~Must be computer proficient and skills in operating various office equipment.~Must be organized and coordinate work independently.~Must be able to work with the public in a professional and courteous manner.~Skilled in reading property descriptions, including metes and bounds.
