    LOCATION: Midland, TX

    CONTEXT:  Our client, a leading construction equipment rental company, is actively seeking a GPS Coordinator to join their team. With a fleet of over 2,600 pieces of equipment, they depend on advanced GPS tracking technology to optimize asset management and ensure seamless operations.

    The ideal candidate is a highly organized and tech-savvy professional who will oversee the installation, monitoring, and tracking of GPS systems across the fleet. This role is essential in maintaining real-time visibility, ensuring equipment security, and improving operational efficiency. Candidates with experience in asset tracking, dispatching, or fleet management are strongly preferred, along with strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GPS tracking devices on all equipment.
    • Continuously monitor the location and movement of equipment to optimize utilization and prevent loss.
    • Utilize Excel and other software to analyze GPS data, generate reports, and provide insights to management.
    • Assist in coordinating equipment logistics by providing real-time location data to internal teams.
    • Maintain GPS software, ensuring systems are updated and functioning efficiently.
    • Support loss prevention efforts by monitoring unauthorized movements and assisting with equipment recovery efforts.
    • Provide training and support to internal teams on GPS system use and best practices.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • College degree preferred but not required. Prior experience in dispatching, asset tracking, fleet management, or logistics is highly desirable.
    • Strong proficiency in Excel and GPS tracking software. General computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems are essential.
    • Ability to analyze data and identify irregularities in tracking reports.
    • Strong critical thinking skills to troubleshoot GPS-related issues and improve tracking efficiency.
    • Clear and professional communication for coordinating with teams and vendors.
