    Shady Oaks is looking for a Landscape and Farm Maintenance Technician for our Shady Oaks location in Lodi, CA.

    Shady Oaks is a mixed-use residential, farming, and equestrian 10-acre project, centrally located in California’s Central Valley, 4 miles east of Lodi. Designated as primary residential oak tree meadow basins, barn facility, and irrigated pastures. Shady Oaks is a family-operated business with unique opportunities for development and growth. We are a hard-working team seeking a motivated individual to join our operation. Drug screening and background check are non-negotiable.

    Key Duties

    • Household residential support for three residents and 1 barn.
    • Perform general maintenance and landscaping as directed.
    • Responsible for the physical appearance of grounds, barns, and surrounding areas (gather and remove debris).
    • Mowing, raking, planting, fertilizing, edging lawns.
    • Use of mowers, rakes or other hand and power tools typically used in gardening.
    • Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch,
    • Trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
    • Knowledge of sprinklers and time clocks.
    • Experience with Lake maintenance.
    • Maintaining equipment and vehicles.
    • Fertilize and prune or trim specific varieties of trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears,
    • pruners, or chain saws.
    • Gather and remove debris.
    • Proper use of herbicides and pesticides.
    • Assist with animal care, livestock (horses/cows/chickens), barn equipment and vehicle maintenance.
    • Weekends necessary.
    • Seasonal holiday and event support.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Experience Education/License Requirements:

    • Must have 1-year related experience in grounds maintenance or training in related work.
    • Must have reliable transportation to the job site.
    • Ability to pass a background and drug screen.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge, or brush
    • trimmers, or axes.
    • Use of mowers, small farming equipment, rakes or other hand and power tools typically
    • used in gardening.
    • Ability to perform duties satisfactory to company standards.
    • Clean and neat appearance.
    • Exhibits professionalism with Shady Oaks residents, guests, and staff.
    • Multi-language skills desired.

    Work Environment:

    Work is performed outside, and you are exposed to varied weather including warm, cold, and wind. Work is performed during standard business hours, and may be required during non-business hours and weekends to meet business needs.

    • Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
