  • Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for Jewelry and Mill inventory accounting. The Jewelry

    inventory main functions are physically recording the receipt of all gems, precious metal

    components, finished goods and distributing to planner or assimilating into inventory as well as

    jewelry scrapping and vault warehousing and organization. The Mill inventory main functions

    are sheet/wire/tubing, melting, inventory balances, shipping, production travelers and misc.

    JEWELRY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Vault Warehousing/Organization: Keep jewelry vault clean and organized.

    Material Allocations: Allocate all precious metal jewelry components to work orders and

    deliver to the next responsible person.

    Shipping: Physically prepare finished goods for shipment by fulfilling acknowledgments.

    Fulfill PO returns for outside shipment by pulling physical material from vault.

    Scrap: Handle all jewelry scrap from work orders, physically and in JMAS.

    Miscellaneous: Consolidate and load all precious metal carts into vault at the end of the

    day.

    Various duties as assigned.

    MILL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Sheet / Wire / Tubing: Allocate material in JMAS for all production travelers (wire, sheet,

    and tubing), fix problems with paperwork for JMAS (ex. switching of material, scraping a job,

    re-issuing, tagging problems), enter all scrap transactions in JMAS.

    Melting: Help get melts ready (paperwork, collecting scrap, check weights), allocate

    material to melts in JMAS, check calculations after melt is completed, receive in melt after

    melt is completed in JMAS, calculate fine oz loss or gain and enter into JMAS, close out

    melts and keep melt charts up to date.

    Inventory Balances: Go through all shipments to make sure we are not missing material,

    close all production travelers after shipments, double check all lots received into JMAS from

    receiving log, keep track of inventory balances, check lots for problems or irregularities,

    collect and ship refines, walk around the floor to make sure all material has paperwork, when

    shipping is having problems with lot numbers or weights help solve the problem, do all PO

    Returns and PO Receipts for venders (ex. Mel Co Ed), keep an updated fine silver bullion list

    Shipping: Do all paperwork for shipping on a daily basis. Help shipping when needed.

    Production Travelers: Enter and print all production travelers for sales orders (per Director

    of Manufacturing Instructions).

    Miscellaneous: Address JMAS problems Information systems as needed, use lot report and

    query to see how they are working, type up procedures as needed.

    Submit assay samples of incoming material and record chemical assay results on audit sheet

    GSM-7.4-02-F. Save on public drive.

    Various duties as assigned.

    Computer skills necessary: MS Excel, JMAS.
