JOB DESCRIPTION

Galliant is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist. This is an immediate opening for a remote, part-time position.  Ability to determine your own schedule. MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF RETHINK AND KAREO SOFTWARE AND PRIOR ABA BILLING EXPERIENCE.

We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual who is comfortable working independently. Galliant offers growth and development opportunities for a detail-oriented professional who is interested in expanding their medical billing skills in a behavioral healthcare setting. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete weekly billing claims and invoices for insurance carriers and clients

• Complete all necessary follow-up until payment is complete

• Manage EOBs and reconcile payments

• Process payments received

• Process and collect insurance copay billing

• Resolve billing errors and denials

• File grievances and advance appeals

• Assist clinical staff with insurance and account questions

• Bill private-pay clients and manage private-pay receivables

• Review outstanding claims and follow up on aging for both patient and insurance balances

• Cover other duties, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

• 1+ years of medical or ABA billing experience

• Excellent communication skills (in-person, by phone and in written form)

• Personal integrity/ethical conduct

• Ability to work independently

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Proficiency in Quickbooks online, Excel, and Google Docs/Sheets

• Experience with HIPAA regulations

• Knowledge of medical billing practices and/or ABA billing practices

• Knowledge of Rethink and Kareo software

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15-$20.00 per hour
