This position is for a Technical Game Writer, focused on the following franchises:

• Dragonball Legends • Girls Frontline • Pokemon GO • Fire Emblem Heroes • Fate Grand Order • Azur Lane • Dragalia Lost • Granblue Fantasy • League of Legends

You will be creating comprehensive guides and collaborating in the creation of infographics pertaining to these IP's.  When workloads are strained in other departments, you may be asked to assist in other articles covering any number of games or subjects GamePress covers.

OVERVIEW:

• Creation of content on GamePress website including but not limited to general guides and unit evaluations.

HOURS:

• Part-time staff with the potential of full-time employment • Flexible, Monday to Saturday (5 days a week) between 9 AM and 8PM

LOCATION:

• Downtown Austin, Texas, 78701 (In-house position only)

SALARY:

• $15 an hour

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

• Plan, organize, draft and publish content including but not limited to guides, unit evaluations and more • Be prepared to deviate to other projects based on demand and workload • Provide collaborative assistance with staff working both on-site and remotely • Capable of data entry for both written content and spreadsheets • Use video and screen capture tools for multiple devices

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school GED or equivalent • Thorough knowledge of game(s) in question • Background in creative writing or strong creative writing skills • Good gameplay and analysis skills • Copywriting or copyediting background ideal • Excellent communication and organizational skills
