POSITION OVERVIEW
GC + SOHO BRANDS, LLC (Gameday Couture + ShopTheSoho) is looking for a highly strategic, creatively minded Digital Marketing, Head of Content – who is a storyteller at heart – plays a key role in the overall strategic direction, management, and EXECUTION of digital content for the Social Media / Digital Marketing teams and the related content + channels.
This role is the quarterback for all digital of the company. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the planning and execution of all digital marketing campaigns across a variety of channels including: paid social, organic social, email, affiliate, and other owned channels.
This leader will drive digital marketing strategies through a content-focused brand lens. From ideation to creation to execution, this individual will ensure all digital content that is created by (and for) the brand is working hard to push both brands forward, consistently elevating and innovating within our industry. This role acts as a strategic connector between the information shared by cross-functional teams and our final creative product: Digital content that drives growth.
They must demonstrate strong judgement, be resourceful, have a sharp eye for detail, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to excel in cross functional collaboration with multiple internal and external partners.
This position will report to the VP of Marketing.
What You Will Do:
- Work closely with the VP of Marketing to define overarching paid, organic, and channel-specific content strategies and how best to leverage the team to flawlessly achieve our aggressive / lofty goals.
- Strategize, develop, manage, and create ALL digital content and assets to drive consumer demand, brand virality, and ultimately conversion by leveraging the power of social media, great content and storytelling, trending topics, and platform changes that impact branded content.
- Having a quantitative approach to digital marketing with an emphasis on analytics
- Define the omni-channel CRM vision and develop a data-driven strategy and approach for acquisition, retention and growth.
- Develop comprehensive plan across channels including email, sms, push, paid social, paid search, affiliate and well as some owned channels
- Providing creative recommendations for landing pages, blogs, social, email marketing, etc.
- Point-of-contact for paid media agency communicating business goals, brand activities, and reviewing media performance. Coordinate delivery and approval process for ad creative and copy.
- Play a leadership role in the strategic development of promotional plans and our approach to customer segmentation and targeting.
- Deliver personalized and hyper-targeted customer marketing journeys across multiple touch-points; understanding the customer’s journey on-site and off-site and deepen the relationship.
- Develop a rigorous testing strategy to continually optimize all areas against KPI’s
- Own the creative testing cadence and reporting and share out best practices.
- Support the Senior Manager of Social Media + Community in reviewing UGC, ambassador, and paid influencer content to ensure there are no elements that could create unwanted PR or social commentary.
- Along with the Senior Manager of Social Media + Community, work closely on the Brand Ambassador platform to manage organic social content requests for BAs and brainstorm content ideas for BAs that support key initiatives or content needs (e.g., TikTok videos, unboxings etc.).
- Stay abreast of competitive social media, influencer marketing, and content strategies and make recommendations on how the brand can stay a step ahead.
- Spot digital trends, understand new technologies and social media behavior and align these with business objectives to create new and innovative marketing opportunities and solutions
- Stay up-to date on performance marketing and creative best practices and trends and implement them across all eCommerce channels
- Monitor analytics on platforms, understand the consumption patterns, and craft tailor made campaigns to maximize conversion and content consumption
- Provide in-depth analysis measuring the success of campaigns/tools and communicate the results to all relevant stakeholders
- Perform basic website maintenance as well as create and update content across all GC + SOHO Brand sites.
- Manage internal content approvals.
- Maintain confidentiality and understand the sensitive nature of our work to protect brand integrity.
Social Media & Video Content
Responsible for developing and producing social content across video-first platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Instagram in order to:
- Expand our digital presence through powerful messaging and engaging content
- Create a library of organic and brand-first content that drives engagement within our community
- Tell our compelling brand story in a valuable and culturally relevant way
- Deliver results and growth on all social platforms
- Develop and produce attention grabbing video content that brings value to our community.
- Collaborate with the Team to ensure we are always on top of hitting cultural trends that drive engagement and promote viral moments
- Digest creative briefs and develop content ideas further
- Stay up to date on fashion and DTC industry trends that may inspire new ideas for video content.
- Deliver content against all calendar deadlines for product launches and brand campaigns
- Create a standalone process for elevated short-form video content.
- Strategize new ways to incorporate short-form video content into the current creation flow, including new process for campaign shoots, fresh ideas for leveraging relationships with influencers/ambassadors, etc.
EMAIL:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day management of Klayvio, understanding it inside out and providing daily updates. Being the main point of contact with our account manager and work closely with them to resolve all platform issues.
- Responsible for customer acquisition, retention and reactivation through engaging and insight driven email campaigns.
- Working closely alongside the VP of Marketing to plan, design and execute all email campaigns in line with the marketing calendar and wider retention strategy.
- Create and roll out extensive email testing strategies and work closely alongside the VP of Marketing to consistently develop and improve the look and feel of the email campaigns, delivering best-in-class emails our audience will love, that are highly engaging, commercial and community-focused.
- With data, process and insight at the core of this role, analyzing email campaign results including audience, offers, creativity, deliverability, open rates, click-through rates and conversion. Tracking and reporting channel performance for internal teams and key company stakeholders on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Create, manage, and maintain all data segments within ESP platform, tracking email KPIs and identify opportunities for subscriber growth and retention.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in social media, marketing, communications, or public relations preferred or relevant experience.
- 5 to 7 years experience in digital marketing, social media, content marketing, and / or brand marketing for e-commerce. Sports, fashion, beauty industries preferred.
- 3+ years experience directly owning digital marketing channels and content strategy of a mid-to-large brand, including copywriting or review and calendaring.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience scaling performance marketing channels.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms and up to date on industry + platform trends (Instagram, Reels, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Deep understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and Premiere Pro / Other video editing software
- Experience managing and leading SEO/SEM initiatives
- Experience with a variety of tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Data Studio, CRM Platforms, Shopify, HubSpot, Active Campaign, SEMrush, etc.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Google Analytics.
- Experience with DSPs/Ad Management tools for Facebook/Instagram, Google/YouTube, TikTok, and Pinterest.
- Experience with email service providers and CRM software. Klayvio experience a plus.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Ability to troubleshoot and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, communication and motivational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
- Must be an idea generator.
