Job Description
JOB TITLE: Manager of Asset Protection
DEPARTMENT: Security
REPORTS TO: Director of Loss Prevention
JOB FUNCTION:
· To perform the primary responsibility of apprehensions with internal and external shop lifters as well as overseeing inventory and shrink to be in compliance with company guidelines.
· Able to interview associates using the Wick lander technique.
· Work with Safety committee monthly to ensure safe practices at all times as well as following all OSHA regulations. Train and develop Loss Prevention Staff on all safety compliance and checklists.
· Monitor Receiver responsibilities. Assist in inventory and shrink. Work closely with Customer Service Manager & Bookkeeper regarding shrink reports & audits.
· Assist in LP recruitment as well as obtaining background checks
· Train and develop staff as well as implement and audit apprehension policies and procedures.
· Able to analyze and extract information with Smart Store reporting for inside sweet hearting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Observe store rules and company policies.
· Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress code.
· Ensure the Safety of Store Personnel & conforming to OSHA Regulations while overseeing store staff to be in compliance.
· Observe shift operating hours at all times as scheduled or assigned by store manager.
· Oversee and control internal & external theft via CCTV and Smart Store Reports
· Interview internal associates for theft utilizing the Wick lander Process as well as store protocols.
· Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations.
· Assist and monitor key control
· Oversee and Audit the flow of vendor traffic through the receiving doors.
· Oversee and Audit Receiving to ensure that all grocery receiving’s listed on vendor invoices are actually delivered and meet store policy for quality, count and condition.
· Verify that all vendor invoices include legible pricing and are properly extended.
· Ensure that all locations are set up with proper Safety & Security Processes and are trained on Associate and Customer accidents.
· Oversee and Monitor and control all accident reports for investigation and follow through with store management and HR.
· Oversee and follow through on all associate & customer accidents with reporting and video footage.
· Monitor the correct procedures for Quality Assurance in all departments.
· Oversee & Perform Audit checklists weekly and monthly that pertain to shrink, security & safety.
· Ensure all CCTV camera are always operational
· Ensure all Alarm systems are operational and that codes are distributed and removed with new hires and terms.
· Assist in investigations of harassment and/or workplace violence.
· Assist Loss Prevention Director as needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
· Ability to read, write and speak English.
· Ability to work under high pressure situations.
· Ability to perform basic math skills.
· Ability to understand and follow directions.
· Ability to do the job while standing.
· Ability to bend and reach.
· Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to operate a Telxon and computer.
· Ability to work in cold temperatures in freezer for short periods of time.
· Ability to push/pull 4-wheel equipment loaded with product.
