Position Overview:As an Assisted Living Cook, you will play a crucial role in creating a healthy and welcoming environment for our residents through nutritious and delicious meals. This position requires close collaboration with the Wellness Department, ensuring open communication and teamwork to provide optimal care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and plate high-quality meals with creativity and attention to cost-effectiveness.
• Follow all kitchen and culinary department criteria and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing your own dishes.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and State of Texas regulations.
• Manage time effectively to handle pressure during peak hours.
• Engage in baking and other culinary activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work as a team player.
• SafeServ Certification required; Manager Certification preferred.
• Previous experience in senior housing is preferred.
• Strong adherence to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Schedule:

• 3 Days On: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & 1/2 Wednesday
• 3 Days Off: 1/2 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
