Job Description

GeneGenieDx is seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI/Software Engineer to work on cutting-edge bioinformatics solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in both AI and software engineering, with experience in developing and implementing innovative solutions for complex biological data analysis problems. The AI/Software Engineer for Bioinformatics will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced machine learning algorithms and software solutions to support our clients' bioinformatics research goals.

Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and implement advanced AI solutions and software for bioinformatics data analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including bioinformaticians, other software engineers, and scientists to identify and develop solutions for complex data analysis problems
• Analyze and interpret large biological datasets using statistical and machine-learning techniques to identify patterns, trends, and insights
• Optimize and improve existing algorithms and software to increase the accuracy and efficiency of data analysis
• Develop and maintain documentation for all AI and software solutions, including code documentation, user manuals, and technical reports
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in AI, software engineering, and bioinformatics research, technologies, and tools, and contribute to the development of new solutions and strategies

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field OR a master’s degree in computer science, Bioinformatics, or related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
• Strong track record of developing and implementing AI and software solutions for bioinformatics data analysis, as evidenced by publications in top-tier conferences or journals
• Strong programming skills in Python/Golang or other programming languages used in AI and bioinformatics
• Experience with software development methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as version control systems, agile development, and continuous integration and deployment
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines
