The General Clerk II position at Military Sealift Command (MSC) in Norfolk is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the smooth and efficient operation of the office. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, data entry skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Our General Clerk II position participates in the Ability One program ; allowing individuals with significant disabilities to work in various positions within our Government Contracted positions.
Compensation: $17.20 per hour, additional $4.57 per hour in Health & Welfare benefits

Requirements:
1. High school diploma is required.
2. Experience as a general clerk or similar administrative role.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
4. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
7. Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
8. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
9. Familiarity with military or government administrative processes and systems is preferred.
10. This position requires an Active Secret security clearance or the ability to pass a Government investigation to obtain a Secret clearance.
