Responsibilities: • Refer patient to dental specialists such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists when appropriate • Recommend and perform preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated • Assess the patients’ overall dental health and look for presence of dental diseases, by thoroughly examining the patients’ teeth using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments • Manage dental hygienists, associate dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans • Instruct patients on the use of recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as dentures and retainers and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene • Diagnose and treat patients with oral diseases with a focus on prevention • Provide dentistry services such as periodontal therapy, root canals, extractions, fillings, bridges, crowns, implants, sleep appliances, and ortho • Educate patients about oral hygiene and preventive dental care • Use dental instruments safely and effectively to avoid accidents • Stay abreast with the latest developments in the dental field • Examine patients, obtain a medical history, and develop treatment plans • Monitor patient progress and maintain treatment records • Work with the clinic team to provide quality patient care services • Address clinical issues promptly and accurately Qualifications: • Up-to-date knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is desired • A minimum of two years of dentistry experience in clinical or private practice is required • A Bachelor’s degree and DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an ADA accredited dental school are required • Board Certified and/or Board Eligible in General Dentistry • Current and unrestricted state license in good standing Compensation: $175,000 - $300,000 yearly
