    Summit Technical Solutions (STS) is seeking a full time General Engineering and Project Management Support to support HQ AF Global Strike Command (AFGSC) which functions as an “organize, train, and equip” command for assigned AF units. AFGSC is responsible for conducting the Mission Area Assessment process to ensure subordinate units’ ability to accomplish the AF missions in specific Mission Areas. Further, AFGSC develops policy for ICBM and helicopter operations, to include developing tactics, techniques, and procedures. Finally, AFGSC, through subordinate and associated organizations, executes the operational test programs to ensure the weapon system meets warfighter requirements.

    Required Skills

    Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Provide engineering support to the AFGSC A4C staff on major facilities and infrastructure projects across the AFGSC installations. Assist in planning, developing requirements, cost estimates, and performing engineering management work for significant multi-phase projects that normally cross engineering disciplines and require professional technical knowledge of general engineering principles.
    • Provide planning and programming support for new and revised requirements at the installations. Participate on an engineering team and assist in the planning, survey, scope development, cost estimating, and phased scheduling of projects and requirements.
    • Evaluate and advise the Government on installation requests for new construction, renovation, and improvements of facilities and infrastructure. Provide technical assistance advisory support on emerging technologies to ensure programmed development will not prematurely become obsolete.
    • Advise the Government on validity, feasibility, achievability, and efficiency of proposed projects based on constraints in scheduling, manpower etc. Support the generation of independent Government cost estimates (IGCEs) for projects.
    • Provide MAJCOM engineering management of the project process. Provide assistance working with organizational managers, budget personnel, and engineering authorities to develop and gain approval for proposed construction, maintenance and repair projects.
    • Provide assistance on the inspection/surveillance of assigned projects. Apply sufficient knowledge of general engineering discipline principles to discuss discrepancies and potential solutions with those performing the work.

    • Provide assistance in project life-cycle review and post-construction after action reporting and lessons learned.

    Required Experience

    Required:
    • 3 years experience in base-level or MAJCOM facility project planning, programming, and management. MILCON project planning, programming, and management is highly desired.
    • 5 years experience with engineering or project management support, professional licensing is preferred.
    • 5 years experience with documentation of engineering goals, objectives, and requirements.

    Education
    Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Graduate STEM degree
