    Job Description: General Manager

    Position: General Manager, Carbon Performance in Atlanta Georgia (Upper Westside Atlanta)

    Company Overview: Carbon Performance is a 34,000 sq ft. fitness club that offers top of the line strength equipment, personal training, fitness classes, bootcamp classes, youth performance, and café/smoothie bar.

    Overview of position: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of a thriving fitness club. As the General Manager of Carbon Performance, you will be responsible for the overall success of the club by ensuring exceptional customer service, driving revenue growth, profitability, managing staff, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and a passion for fitness and wellness.

    Responsibilities:

    · Leadership and Staff Management

    o Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of employees, including managers, fitness trainers, front desk staff, smoothie bar staff and maintenance personnel.

    o Recruit, hire train, and perform staff evaluations, ensuring a competent and motivated team.

    o Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and a culture that Carbon Performance promotes.

    o The General Manager will carry out several administrative duties including controlling labor hours and staffing appropriately for the facility needs.

    o Reviews KPI with AGM and team members to ensure the highest quality service and overall performance.

    · Business Operations and Financial Management

    o Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue and membership growth targets.

    o Create and present a MBR to the leadership team, discussing the overall health of the gym and where the business is headed.

    o Understand and analyze the monthly P&L and make data based decisions to drive the business forward.

    o Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and implement effective strategies to improve and meet profitability targets.

    o Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and vendor relationships.

    o Monitor industry trends and competitors, implementing innovative programs and services to stay ahead in the market.

    o Ensure payroll is accurate and submitted properly.

    · Customer Service and Member Engagement

    o Ensure exceptional customer service by fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for members.

    o Implement strategies to enhance member retention and satisfaction through personalized experiences, programs, and services.

    o Address member inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.

    o Implement strategies and plans to increase memberships through lead generation programs and strong lead converting presentation and tours that are standardized.

    · Facility Operations and Safety

    o Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility, adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices.

    o Oversee maintenance, repair, and upgrades of fitness equipment and facilities.

    o Evaluate equipment usage and provide recommendations on future purchases.

    o Develop and implement emergency preparedness protocols and procedures.

    o Collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.

    · Community Engagement and Partnerships

    o Actively engage with the local community and establish partnerships to promote the club and its offerings.

    o Identify opportunities for collaborations with local businesses, schools, and organizations to enhance brand visibility and community involvement.

    o Represent the fitness club at community events and industry conferences in 2-3 event per quarter.

    o Participate in internal and external events at least 2 to 3 times per quarter.
