Our client is opening an exciting new, high-volume, chef-driven restaurant in Washington, DC, dedicated to delivering extraordinary dining experiences. Position Summary:
As the General Manager, you will be the driving force behind our restaurant’s success, overseeing all aspects of operations, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring every guest leaves delighted. You’ll lead a professional service team, work closely with culinary leadership, and implement strategies to achieve operational excellence and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Building: Hire, train, and manage a professional front-of-house team committed to outstanding guest service and teamwork.
- Guest Experience: Maintain high standards of service to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience.
- Operations Management: Oversee all day-to-day operations, including scheduling, budgeting, inventory, and vendor relations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain a seamless connection between the front and back of the house.
- Financial Performance: Drive profitability by managing costs, maximizing revenue, and meeting or exceeding financial goals.
- Problem-Solving: Handle challenges with professionalism, resolving guest concerns and team issues swiftly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years as a General Manager in a high-volume, chef-driven restaurant.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to inspire and manage a professional service team.
- Guest Focused: A commitment to delivering excellent guest service and building long-term relationships with patrons.
- Operational Expertise: Proficiency in managing budgets, scheduling, and operational tools with a detail-oriented approach.
