  • Responsibilities

    This position is primarily responsible for the successful delivery and oversight of our services to internal and external customers. This position provides overall leadership to all employees with responsibility for overall operating performance, customer satisfaction, positive employee culture, safety, service, budgets, and vendor relations. The General Manager is responsible for having in-depth knowledge of operations, management, elevator industry, technology, and financial disciplines. The leader must have a proven track record for decisive actions backed by analytical thinking, goal-directed leadership, and service-oriented performance. This leader will deliver results through leadership, direction, alignment, and motivation.

    This job is located in the Washington, DC area. Relocation 100% paid by the Company!

    DUTIES: • Ensure the branch’s daily operations operate efficiently and cost-effectively. Includes monitoring staff performance and morale, and overseeing field operations, sales, and office staff while always ensuring a safe work culture. • Regular review of branch performance to include reviewing non-billable callbacks and implementing plans to reduce non-billable callback hours. • Review, approve & implement plans to control labor & material efficiency while ensuring high customer satisfaction. • Foster relationships with key customers and consultants • Address elevated customer concerns and work with the branch service management team to drive customer retention. • Conduct regular reviews of unprofitable contracts and develop action plans to improve contract profitability. • Maintains a strong working knowledge of the overall market area, including sales backlog, service and repair volume, market penetration, volume of outstanding bids, available new business, special projects, and staffing requirements and availability. • Reviews and approves invoices, accounts receivables, write-offs, and credits. • Present monthly branch performance results to ensure monthly budgetary goals are met and contribute to the yearly budget process to be presented to the President/CEO. • Train, coach, and mentor branch personnel to ensure successful execution of job duties. • Performs other duties as assigned.

    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum expectation of a Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent education/experience • Experience may be substituted for years of college education • 5-10 years of experience within the industry. • Requires strong initiative, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. • Solid understanding of safety principles and the ability to apply them to the company’s operations. • Substantial working knowledge of applicable safety & health standards • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and information, and deal with several issues at once. • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. • Team player with a “can do” attitude who
