    Job Summary:

    Handyman Connection of Lansing is seeking a dynamic General Manager to join our team and help lead and grow our business in the Lansing and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for a results-driven leader with a background in management and customer service. The GM will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Business Operations & Strategy

    Manage and oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring efficiency and profitability

    Execute business growth strategies, including marketing, sales, and customer retention initiatives

    Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profit margins

    Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain quality and safety standards

    Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to the owner

    1. Sales & Customer Service

    Drive sales through effective marketing, networking, and customer outreach

    Conduct in-office (virtual) and in-home estimates, provide proposals, and sell our services to both residential and commercial clients for mid sized jobs

    Oversee customer interactions to ensure high levels of responsiveness, professionalism, satisfaction, and repeat business

    1. Team Leadership & Development

    Recruit, onboard, train, and manage a network of skilled craftsmen and office staff to support scheduling, customer service, and operations

    Provide guidance and support to subcontractors to optimize performance

    Foster a positive and collaborative work environment

    Set performance goals and provide regular coaching and feedback to the team

    1. Marketing & Community Engagement

    Implement local marketing strategies, including digital advertising, social media, and community partnerships

    Build relationships with homeowners, property managers, and businesses to generate leads

    Attend occasional trade shows and assist with on-site coordination

    Experience & Skills:

    Management experience (3+ years) in operations, construction, or home services

    Strong sales and customer service skills

    Experience managing budgets, financial reports, and performance metrics

    Proficiency in CRM software and office productivity tools

    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

    Knowledge of residential and light commercial repair/remodeling, including estimating jobs, is a plus

    Valid driver’s license required

    Physical Requirements:

    Prolonged periods of standing and working at a computer in a standard office environment

    Driving to clients homes and job sites

    Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
