We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant General Manager to join our team. As a Restaurant General Manager, your primary responsibility is to the customer, ensuring that every guest has a wonderful experience. To be successful as a restaurant general manager you should have excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. You should be someone who leads by example, both in how you interact with your team as well as how to support our guests. You will also assume a variety of responsibilities and duties such as recruiting and hiring restaurant staff, training, overseeing food quality, creating and executing restaurant marketing strategies, developing menus, as well as greeting and serving restaurant guests and supporting service. JOB DUTIES:
Manage and oversee the entire restaurant operation
Deliver exceptional guest services
Ensuring guest satisfaction
Plan new and update existing menus
Plan and develop the overall restaurant promotions, specials, and events. Build promotions and events to drive top line sales.
Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints
Organize and supervise shifts, manage scheduling using R365
Manage and lead staff. Develop hourly and salary staff
Hire new employees. Terminate employees when necessary
Training and evaluate staff performance
Manage daily restaurant operations including POS day close reconciliations and cash deposits using POS (Restaurant Manager) and R365. Review and approve payroll hours before processing with ADP.
Manage food ordering and cost, maintain food inventory
Manage Liquor, Beer, Wine (LBW) ordering and cost, maintain LBW inventory
Manage restaurant supplies including smallwares
Control costs and minimize waste
Create and nurture a positive working environment
Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity, sales, and food quality.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar role
Ideally, 3+ years of experience managing or supervising kitchen staff and operations
Must have VALID Wisconsin bartender license
At least 3 years of experience managing liquor and food orders
At least 3 years of experience performing month close inventory counts for Liquor and Food
Must have extensive front of the house experience and knowledge
Computer literacy
Ideally, 3+ years experience with restaurant management software (POS and R365)
Must have experience with managing COGS (liquor and food)
Experience in event planning and promotions – drive top line sales
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
Good financial management skills
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skill.
