    WHAT IS KIDSTRONG?

    At KidStrong, we help parents build stronger, smarter, more athletic kids. KidStrong is a milestone accelerator for kids walking through 11 years old. We help parents discover their child’s superpowers and build future-ready kids who are confident making friends running the playground and raising their hands high in the classroom.     KidStrong Meridian is rapidly growing and we're looking for talented, enthusiastic professionals who are passionate, energetic, and excited to engage with parents and kids and make an impact on their lives.

    THE ROLE & SCHEDULE

    We are looking for coaches with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids ages 15 months - 11 years old

    KidStrong Director would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculum

    Ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding “the why” behind the KidStrong curriculum

    Set schedules for the coaching staff

    Assess and evaluate center coaches' performances and execution

    Our classes run typically weekdays 9 am -11 am and evenings until 7 pm, and weekends are typically from 9 am through lunch/noon.

    Opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on studio needs.

    Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours.

    Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required!

    DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    Recruit, screen, interview, onboard, manage, train, and evaluate coaching candidates for your center

    Ensure candidates complete all paperwork and compliance as required by law

    Lead training practicals for new coaching candidates

    Lead coaching candidates through the training process and required evaluations

    Ensure coaching evaluations are up to date on a 30/60/90 model

    Develop coaches through informal feedback on a weekly basis

    Create and ensure staffing needs for the center are met and the team is fully staffed while continually pipelining future talent

    Provide support and be available for the team through Slack

    Monthly deep cleaning of the center and all equipment

    Attend weekly leadership meetings with Area Developers and/or General Managers

    Attend the monthly HQ programming rollout to learn next month's programming

    Lead center-level programming rollout and train staff on next month's programming

    Partner with the Sales Manager on the center's needs, KPIs, inventory, and growth

    Achieve Director Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team

    Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old

    Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of class

    Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class

    Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises

    Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team

    Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum

    Ensure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift

    Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)

    Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers

    Complete trainings through Learnupon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team

    Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.

    Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.

    Assisting parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class

    Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month's curriculum

    Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by Director

    Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Academy - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (for example Winter Break, Summer Break)

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!

    Previous experience in management is preferred but not required

    Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age group is preferred

    Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum

    Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics

    CPR certified

    Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills

    Self-starter who just gets a job done
