    Type: full-time (40 - 45 hrs / week). Typically weekends and three weekdays (can vary depending on week)

    Reports to: owner

    Direct reports: oodazu crew and anyone else working at Buckhead location

    Job Overview: the OODAZU General Manager - Buckhead is responsible for all aspects of OODAZU Buckhead operations. They manage the day-to-day operations of OODAZU Buckhead as well as all aspects of operational preparation. They are responsible for ensuring the crew members are running OODAZU Buckhead optimally, efficiently, and safely. This is a customer facing role and customer service is of utmost importance. This is also a working manager role with the expectation that this person will step in and perform any duty necessary for the business to run at its best.

    Qualifications: 10 years experience in a professional role with 2-5 years experience as a manager

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    General:

    Managing the day-to-day operations of OODAZU Buckhead

    Maintaining a calm and professional demeanor even when issues arise

    Managing the opening & closing duties of the facility

    Working alongside crew members when necessary

    Working concurrently with the entire team from crew members to other managers to ensure OODAZU Buckhead as a whole is running optimally

    Keeping detailed inventory of and sourcing all facility related supplies including soap, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, plates, etc.

    Sourcing supplies, food, crafts, etc. for parties, camp, and other activities

    Ensuring all inventory from OODAZU Party Boutique is updated in Shopify if purchased in-store or used for in-house parties

    Assessing day-to-day operations to identify areas for improvement and communicating those to the owner for consideration

    Doing weekly walk-throughs of the facility to ensure all equipment is functioning as designed

    Ensuring pictures and videos are taken during parties, camp, play, etc. to be used on social media

    Following all operational protocols that are in place to ensure party boutique orders are not lost, items are in stock, items are shipped, etc.

    Escalating issues to the owner when required

    Hosting weekly meetings with the owner to discuss goals, operational issues, etc.

    People Management

    Managing all direct reports and ensuring they are performing their required duties

    Assigning duties to direct reports – ensuring they have work to do at all times of their day

    Screening and interviewing potential candidates for employment

    Training new employees on required duties or pairing them with more experienced crew members to train them

    Keeping performance files on employees and providing disciplinary write-ups when required

    Working with the owner to ensure proper staffing

    Day-to-day management of staffing to ensure adequate staffing without over-staffing

    Communicating with crew members to identify other staffing options in case of a call-out

    Customer Service

    Answering all emails / text messages with customers in a kind and respectful manner

    Answering the phone and speaking with customers in a kind and respectful manner

    Returning voicemails and missed calls to customers in a kind and respectful manner

    Front Desk:

    Managing the check-in processes for all activities

    Running the front computer, including but not limited to: check-in, payment, point-of-service retail, booking, etc.

    Answering phone, email, text messages, or any customer communication in a respectful and customer service-oriented way

    Booking parties, balloon orders, camp, classes, or any event over the phone

    Parties:

    Working with parents on all party bookings to ensure they have the best experience possible

    Communicating with parents about party add-ons in a respectful way while still trying to upsell

    Providing party planning assistance to all party customers

    Keeping detailed notes about each party in the party booking system

    Maintaining all party tracking spreadsheets to ensure no details are forgotten and customers do not fall through the cracks

    Tracking all interactions with customers, both booked and non-booked customers, in their respective spreadsheets or booking system

    Following all party guidelines as described in the “Party Inquiry, Booking, & Prep Guidelines”

    Confirming all items necessary for the party are charged, pulled, and ready to go for the parties prior to the party taking place

    Ensuring pulled party decor for the upcoming weekend is appropriate and up to OODAZU standards

    Ensuring all parties have the correct add-ons (e.g. balloons, theme, etc.) on the day of the party

    Working with outside vendors to book entertainment, equipment, food, etc. for parties

    Properly charging all customers at the conclusion of their party and emailing them the invoice

    Camp:

    Developing detailed camp schedules and activities

    Working with vendors for outside entertainment during camp (e.g. yoga, magician, Kona Ice, etc.)

    Ensuring all camp groupings and name tags are created for all camp attendees on a daily basis

    Ordering all camp lunches and managing the delivery or pick-up process

    Managing the check-in and pick-up processes

    Other duties as required
