    Job Description

    Cielo Executive Search is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our North America Packaging division. This role will be accountable for multiple product lines across our Global Packaging Business, equating to roughly $300M in revenue. As the General Manager, you will drive P&L performance, strategy development, cross-functional team leadership, product life-cycle management, demand planning, and position our products to solve critical customer packaging challenges.

    In this role you will:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
    • Successful manage the product P&L – allocating resources to ensure we have a market leading, cost-effective portfolio – inclusive of pricing strategy, product development, promotional strategy
    • Have accountability for development and execution of long-term strategy
    • Collaborate with Sales, Innovation & Development, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment with marketing to drive profitable growth.
    • Leverage our Packaging Application Centers and Design Engineers to solve customer packaging challenges to drive profitable growth.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and margin targets while growing market share. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Commercial Excellence, and the People organization to ensure priorities are aligned and deliver annual business plans that drive growth toward the Global Protective strategy. As the General Manager, you will lead a team of 4-5 direct reports and a total span of control of 25-30 employees across Product Managers and Packaging Application Centers.

    Key responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy, managing the product P&L, allocating resources for a market-leading and cost-effective portfolio, developing and executing long-term strategy, collaborating with Sales, Innovation & Development, and Supply Chain to drive profitable growth, and leveraging our Packaging Application Centers and Design Engineers to solve customer packaging challenges.

    Education

    A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for experience in B2B Marketing in a manufacturing company, including product marketing. Experience with marketing premium/value-based products (not commodities), businesses with multiple product lines, and both consumables and equipment is highly desirable.

    Certifications

    While not required, certifications or experience in packaging, CRM, lead generation, or lead nurturing would be advantageous.
