Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Effectively lead, manage, communicate, develop, and train the staff (i.e., Assistant General Managers, Front Desk Associates, Overnight Front Desk Associates, Cleaners, and Trainers)
Ensure that all issues within the club involving employees and members are addressed in an appropriate, respectful, and timely manner with a plan of remediation
Create and maintain the Judgement Free Zone
Actively promote the Planet Fitness brand with local communities
Ensure accurate and timely daily deposits
Ensure and monitor compliance with all policies and procedures
Monitor performance and effectiveness of staff
Control all inventory, ensuring adequate supplies are ordered, delivered, and available always
Create and maintain a schedule to fulfill all staffing needs and remain within the payroll budget
Responsible for self-inspections
Take all mandatory PF/PFU courses as required as well as in-service training
Manage all team members to ensure strong communication with the goal of developing effective working relationships
Provide regular feedback to team members to assist with motivation, performance management, and continued support
Responsible for being up to date with current company policies and procedures and adhere to them
Qualifications:
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities
Solid work ethic with strong decision-making skills
Self-starter who takes initiative with minimal direction and supervision
Basic computer, math, and communication skills
Excellent supervisory skills
CPR/AED certified (if not, training will be provided by PF)
Must be 18 years of age or older
Strong problem resolution skills
Goal oriented, enthusiastic, and energetic
Ability to travel to other clubs if needed
Excellent customer service skills
Honest, punctuality and reliable
Strong listener with the ability to empathize
Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language
Two years Supervisor or Manager experience in a high-volume atmosphere is preferred
Physical Demands:
Continual standing and walking during shift
Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
