Position Overview
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant, bar, and live entertainment operations. This role involves leading and managing staff, ensuring high-quality service, overseeing financial performance, and implementing policies and procedures to support a successful and seamless guest experience. The General Manager works closely with department heads to maintain standards, optimize efficiency, and foster a positive work environment aligned with the venue's mission.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations across all areas, including restaurant, bar, and entertainment.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and service standards to ensure high-quality guest experiences.
Lead, train, and manage front-of-house and back-of-house teams to maintain performance standards and morale.
Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation, to achieve profitability goals.
Analyze financial reports, sales data, and guest feedback to inform strategic planning and operational adjustments.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements across all departments.
Coordinate with department managers to support smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
Oversee inventory control, purchasing, and vendor relationships to maintain quality and manage costs.
Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally to resolve issues and improve service.
Plan and manage special events, promotions, and marketing initiatives in collaboration with the events and marketing teams.
Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and goal setting for staff development.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented culture within the organization.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume setting.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service, health and safety regulations, and hospitality best practices.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
