General Manager – Saddleback BBQ

Company Description: Saddleback BBQ is Lansing’s premier craft BBQ destination, renowned for authentic Southern BBQ with a Midwestern twist. Since 2015, we’ve expanded from REO Town to Okemos, launched Slice by Saddleback, and continue to grow. Now, we are evolving our locations, introducing new concepts, and seeking passionate leaders to help drive our success.

Role Description: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee one of our growing locations. This role is ideal for someone who is a strong leader, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to take ownership of a restaurant’s success. You will be responsible for daily operations, team development, financial performance, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities:

Lead and inspire a team to maintain exceptional food and service standards

Manage staffing, training, scheduling, and performance development

Ensure operational efficiency, including inventory control and financial accountability

Create a positive, motivating work environment through strong leadership

Maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards in compliance with regulations

Drive business growth through marketing initiatives and community engagement

Qualifications:

Previous restaurant management experience is required

Strong leadership and team-building skills

Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure in a high-volume environment

Solid understanding of restaurant financials, including labor costs, food costs, and profitability

Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills

Weekend and evening availability required

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive salary: $40,000 - $60,000+ (based on experience & location needs)
