    Position Overview

    The General Manager (GM) is the leader of their restaurant, focused on profitability, Heartfelt Guest Service, people development, and operations. GMs have overall responsibility for the daily operations of a single restaurant within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllable costs, staffing, utilities, and sales growth. GMs typically operate under the direction of a Franchise Owner/District Manager and directly manage a team of an Assistant Manager, Shift Leaders, and Team Members.This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ensures top-notch guest service, and drives team development while maintaining operational efficiency and adhering to company standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operations Management

    Ensure smooth daily operations, including opening, closing, inventory management, and shift scheduling.

    Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health regulations, wage and hour laws, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA, OSHA, and other legal requirements.

    Maintain strict adherence to all Firehouse Subs® Policies and Procedures.

    Coordinate and implement operational game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner.

    Team Leadership & Development

    Provide leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality, and cleanliness while fostering the Firehouse Subs® “culture” of a cheerful and fun work environment.

    Be accountable for staffing the restaurant with qualified personnel who are properly trained and developed.

    Ensure continuous training and development of the Assistant Manager and Shift Managers.

    Foster a team-oriented environment that promotes collaboration and accountability.

    Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

    Customer Experience

    Deliver outstanding customer service by ensuring all orders are accurate, timely, and meet Firehouse Subs’ quality standards.

    Create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

    Actively represent Firehouse Subs® in a professional, positive manner to enhance public relations and customer satisfaction.

    Sales & Financial Performance

    Ensure the profitability of the business by operating within established guidelines for food cost, labor, controllable expenses, utilities, and sales growth.

    Drive restaurant sales and profitability through effective cost management, promotions, and marketing strategies.

    Catering & Community Outreach

    Maintain awareness and participation in community affairs to leverage sales and public relations opportunities.

    Implement and promote all Public Safety Foundation initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Required: Applications not meeting the required qualifications will not be considered.

    Minimum of 1 year of experience as a store manager, or 2 years as an assistant manager, in the QSR industry.

    ServSafe Certification.

    Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Must complete the assessment test in the application.

    Must go through a thorough background test (employment, drug, etc).

    Preferred:

    Experience in quick-service restaurants (QSR) or franchise operations.

    Knowledge of inventory management and scheduling software.

    Familiarity with local marketing and catering outreach.

    Associate Degree.
